Our flying site is located in the beautiful Dorset countryside just of the A354 - Blandford to Salisbury Road. From Ringwood and the A31 it is just 25 mins drive. Glorious views across the rural countryside are an added bonus.
The grass is regularily cut by professional contractors. The field is large enough to allow us to use large scale models and also during the warmer months to hold Fun Days, EDF & Jet, Scale Days, Gliding and * Control Line Competions . Jet flying is limited depending on time of year and condition of local crops in fields.
Our field is facing Nor-East - Sou-West. Runway is orientated as Enter right 08 and Enter Left 26
We have on-site facilities to recharge flight batteries and a small workshop for emergency repairs.
During the Summer months the BBQ gets quite good use too, especially at weekends, usually Saturdays but also Sundays if there is an event in progress. The field is in use ALL year round, no "seasons" for us. Even the snow doesn't stop us having a quick flight either.
We also use exclusive slope sites for Southerly to Westerly winds and also use WinGreen for Northerly to Norwesterly, Ringstead for SSWesterlies these are also public sites.
