Wrong Fan

Some while ago I had to replace the 12 blade edf in the Stinger which uses 4 cells. I had not used the Stinger for a while so a few weeks ago I gave it a flight or NOT. 3/4 throttle and it just powered itself into the runway snapping off the nose - again. Disgusted I lobbed it into the garage to gather some cobwebs. Being a bit cold lately to go out I repaired the nose section and led. With the wing off I found a 5 blade fan! How did that get there? No wonder it would not fly. The blades were probably spinning so fast on 4 cells that they were actually stalling. However, it now has a 12 blade fan again. At the time of the error I may have suffered ARADS. If it was not ARADS then maybe I should post this in "Stories of Stupidity" :lol:

Recently I replaced the motor on my Modified Hacker " HotWing".
It was easier to work with the model upside down on the bench and 2 thrust adjustment shims marked "Top" & "Bottom"
we're refitted.
Yes - You've guessed it.
With the model the right way up
shims in wrong place.
Motor out & shims refitted.
Another case of ARADS.
