Who Made Who - And it ain't AC/DC....

Searching for some brushless motors in the 36 - 40 class with suitable KV and number of turns, should I go NTM or Turnigy or Emax, etc, etc? I came across this thread, the link indicated below. Although I have done some research on who makes for who some time ago, I must have missed this one. :S

I have to tell you that you need to have some down time with nothing else in your head except motors. This Guy must have been laid up for months to do this amount of homework. For example Hacker Outrunners are made in China by SunRay Ltd but the Inrunners are made locally still.

If you like brands fair enough but do you need to pay the premium? Why feel guilty if you can find an identical motor elsewhere under a different brand for 30% less or more?
