F3A - Suitable Model was created by 4Pedalsfly
I am looking for an F3A airframe that is suitable for 4 cell 3,300mAh LiPo's.
Main requirements are that it is capable of flying basic aerobatics smoothly and is
relatively low cost.

Hobby King list a F3A foam model - "Firenza" ( also called "Rainbow" ) which would seem to fit
my needs - 1380mm wing span & o.k on 4 cell LiPo - does anyone have experiance of this offering ?

If any member has a used model that would fit the bill I would be interested in considering it.

Thanks

Hi Colin

Roger Scott has a firenza but not sure it's in the air yet. 4s F3A's are not common. Probuild have a Galaxy EP at £153.00. Lots of 3d models around for 4s mind that I would think will do most of what you want. I have a HK Slick 360 on 4s which is excellent and cost around the £80 mark. They also do a balsa/ply Edge 540 for 4s which looks good. Again I think it's around the £80 mark.

Hope it helps.

See you soon.

Colin

Have a look at the Extreme Flight range from West London Models, they have a 48" Vanquish which I have flown a few times and flies very well, as well as anything in this size. It will have excellent performance on 4 cells. They also do several other models in the same size range Edge, Laser, MXS, although designed for 3d they also fly precision style very well..

They are a bit more expensive than some others, but well worth the extra cash as they fly very well, are light and very strong. You will also see second hand ones come up occasionally. Being wooden they will fly better than a foamie, depends what you want.

Second the 48" vanquish, I had the old MK1 and flew really well with a 4s 3000mah pack in it, i'm also currently flying the 48" extra witch is awesome and as john says it's very strong!! can't comment on how well it fly's precision due to me not flying in a strait line long enough!!!

There is also the sebart range witch seem to have good reports.

Thanks to Tom,Jon & Chris for their replies.

I am now considering my options, main limitation is brain to thumbs coordination.
