A Tidy Switch Install? was created by Phil Ford
Thinking on how to reduce too many holes for switches in Pepsi. On my other petrol planes they have a main switch for RX power and another switch for ignition and using a LIFe battery pack for Rx and NiMh/LiFe for ign.

To reduce the number of switches I am thinking that whilst there is no main power for RX/servos the Opto kill switch will also keep the ignition off. I would imagine the Opto Kill draws a tiny amount of current even when "off" but not an issue for a days flying. Use kill switch on TX whilst priming. Feasible?

What set up do you other gasser Guys use?

I never fit a physical switch to by opto circuit. The off leakage current is negligible.

Thanks John. You just plug in the ignition battery direct at the start of the day then?

I do the same Phil, no separate ignition switch. I do unplug my batteries when not in use though
