Warbird....change of engines gents? was created by DaveBright
Had a text from Chris Head today informing me that pro build seem to be stocking the Kolm engines. These along with the big Moki radials I believe are the closest sounding to the real thing?

Anyway.... Anyone fencing changing what's up front on their new 1940's toys? :cheer:

WOW - that is a beautiful sound. I will have a 3W 55cc with K&S 1060 tuned pipe (inboard) on mine, hopefully it will howl when needed  Also thinking about putting a mechanical canon sounder in the radiator pod under the wing. :silly:

That really does sound great! Feeling even more in the need to get a big warbird if only I could pull my finger out, just spent the afternoon after work at the flying heritage collection in Everett Washington. www.flyingheritage.com/ it was impressive to say the least, all their warbirds are in flying condition! Especially liked the p47, Simon I thought of you and you need to enlighten us on how yours is coming together?
Also have the urge to get my p40 back in the air and invest in decent retracts.

Lucky boy! Nice pics Dave. You can recognise the Mustang just by those massive flaps and love the B25.

Anyways, I thought you said you staying local?

Dave B. Love the "real" sound, especially when the planes make a turn and put the nose down. Only thing missing is the sound of 50 cals!
