I acquired this machine recently. I have replaced all the servos etc with upto date items and made a wing spar from a piece of alloy bar. I'm now stuck when it comes to making the 4 piece wings secure, there's no obvious way of stopping them coming apart. Anyone have knowledge on how to fix them?

I think its common practice to wrap clear tape or matching electrical tape across the joins.

PS this is how i used to fix full size aircraft but this is aviation grade sticky tape !

3M Blenderm tape methinks. Will hang on well but can be peeled off fairly easily without puling the covering off with it. Blenderm has worked well for foamie hinges.

Mike may have an answer to your problem

Put a wrap of uv resistant clear tape (sellotape crystal clear) on the wing/fuselage first. Then use electrical tape each time you fly. The clear tape will stop the covering from peeling off when you remove the electrical tape.

Blenderm will be ok too but is a lot more expensive.
