Launch Pedal was created by Phil Ford
Have knocked up a bungee launch pedal. The pedal is secured by tent pegs at rear when in use and can also be cable tied to lower back pipe. Have come to a standstill though. :(

Trying to find some key rings, one biggun' for the pedal peg and a slightly smaller one for the model. Have searched in all our drawers, cupboards, tried Castles Ironmongery, B&Q, etc. Nothing! Ideas please?

If there's a camping shop, they might stock small caribiners. You can get them on eBay too, lots of sizes and quite cheap. Split rings from a key cutting shop might do the biz.
Are you launching a model Phil, or just catapulting your old ones into the next field?

Hopefully launch the Super Wing and an old Habu EDF for starters

Key Cutting? Ah yes, we got a Timpson at Sainsburys. I'll try there.

i hope to make Cashmoor tomorrow so will pack my Hobbyking unit for you to assess. I'm sure a std keyring will suffice

Phil, while you're at it I think you will find that Kevin has also had some useful experience on the subject of prop rotation.

Kevin. Not sure whether the Wing is ready yet. lacking a launch pin I think. Anyway, my ramp is still laying the garage. I need to do a test set up before lugging it up to Cashmoor.

Did a test set up and made up lines today. I need to melt down the plastic a little bit more at the top end to save wing damage. And a "drag chute" ( a bit of rag) where the lines meet the bungee to slow and pull down the bungee after launch. Or is it really necessary?
