Multiplex Connector was created by Phil Ford
Trying to tidy up and make it easy to plug/unplug wing connections on my latest aquisition. Other than computer type connectors I was looking at Multiplex 6 way connectors. Do they fit well, in other words they are not likely to come loose in an IC powered plane. I know some of you use them in EP powered planes but was considering the vibration aspect.

Phil,

They are pretty secure (quite tight fit usually) but if you want them to be ultra secure you can get clips to go over the socket part to help hold the plug and socket together. See the pics of the clips on my Pilatus PT6, I think I got the clips from Nexus Bob.

Hi Phil

I use them in all of my large planes and have not had any issues, like Peter has said, you can get a safety clip but I have never felt them need for them

Cheers Guys. although the type I am looking at are below and they are fairly small. I am sure I have seen Mike use these in a glider though. My aquisition is only a 60 size model.

6 pins gives me, 1 Common: 1 pin power: 2 pins L- Ail R - Ail: 1 pin Flap: 1 pins for retracts.
