Not exactly an RC subject but a recent study using real data on EV Lithium Ion batteries now that quite few years have passed to collect data from numerous makers. It is quite a good read if you are so inclined, I was as it is raining all day so working out in the driveway. However, way down the page is something that affects us electric model users. Batteries don't like heat. Fast charging reduces usable lifespan. But we all know that don't we? Charging at 1C or below seems to be the best option and that includes EVs too.

The Nissan Leaf has been around for over 12 years and Nissan says that although it is not viable to rebuild the earlier batteries due to chemistry they are using them in less demanding situations. In the US the packs are used as Data Centre back up batteries.
