I am thinking of this durafly Sea Vixen from Hobbyzone has any one any experience or thoughts about this type of model
i really like planes with retracts and think it may need them swapping out for eflight retracts as Phil has done on his P51 i can live with that but would the wheels run on the grass at cashmoor

Andy, Eflite 15 -25 tricycle are about the same price as the model, £100. The OEM retracts will be plastic also so see how goes first. Wheels are approx 25mm so short dry grass should not be a problem. Roger Scott's larger Delta EDF has rolled out okay numerous times. (Although in November we had to hand mow the centre of the field for it)

I have the Vampire, similar size. Not yet flown. Although it has retracts, I will be hand launching and landing without the gear down. Spoke to a visitor to our scale day, he was flying same model, he stated that there is not enough power to take off on grass. Also, changing retracts will not help the mtg in foam, which, IMO, would be the weakness. Having said that, the visiting Vampire flew very well. Hope this helps.
