Advice gas turbine was created by Wingman1962
Hello. Looking to buy my first turbine model, got my eye on something but would like some advice on it before parting with my cash. If anyone can help that would be great.
Cheers John

Boomerang intro, boomerang nano, boomerang ?, Ripmax excallibur.
Go for a kerostart motor with low hours (<15) or recently serviced, e.g Jetcat P80, Jets Munts 80, Wren 80.
be careful of other engines as repairs/service might not be available.

Cheers thanks for that. The turbine I was looking at has been withdrawn from sale. It was an excalibur with everything installed, spark t12 turbine, braked electric retracts, all servos and Futaba receiver along with various other things like wing bags, a stand, fuel bowser and pump all for £3000. Does that sound like a good deal do you think.

I wouldn't say that sounds particularly cheap, I'm sure if you keep looking you'd find something similar for less money.

Hi Jon, thanks for those two links, I think the Boomerang would be the better option for me, it looks like it's ready to go and having no experience with turbines would be difficult for me to put one together without a lot of help. If I take the plunge would you be able to help me with it?
Cheers John
