Just ordered one of these, been umming for a while over getting one, and seen they are popular at the club.

Any issues using 2200 3s, any mods when building them, or build it stock?

2200 maH 3 cells up front as far as it will go which usually is the front edge of the hatch area. I found with a 2200 Zippy compact I had to add 25gms into the nose. Other than that keep stock. I have 35% expo on all surfaces. Minimal ailerons, max elevator, expo to suit your style Elliot.

Launching? I cannot do under arm launch so I have cut away two air intake ribs inline with CG underneath. Lets your fingers grip the fuselage easier and launch it like a javelin....;)

You might look at my post , this mod makes launching easy.

Ive bought 1800mA batteries which slide fully into the nose and balance well . Ive also flown with a 2200 like phil but it needs to be no thicker than 22mm or the canopy may not close

Stock set up is fine with 2200 3s Elliot, like others have said, it might need a few grams of lead as well.

I find mine easy to launch overarm, just gripping the fus in front of the intakes. Careful with the aileron throw, it will roll very quickly with too much, don't ask me how I know :)
