Jet & D.F Day - Sunday 6th May was created by 4Pedalsfly
Above event coincides with the last day of the Steam Fair, on the Sunday the event finishes at 3.00 pm
We all aware of the traffic generated in the area, so is it worth considering moving it to the following Sunday
the 13 th ?
Also is non Jet / D.F flying o.k. ?

Thanks, Colin, The event is currently planned for next Sunday, 6th Sept. There is nothing planned for the following Sunday, 13th.

My vote would be YES, lets move it.

Too late to be having this discussion...leave it where it is.

The delay you will experience going to or returning from the field is minimal compared to the 2-3-4 or more hours you are going to spend at the field. And if you want to reduce your delay even more, take a look at a map and take a few back roads. For example, take a left at the bottom of the hill in Cashmoor to take the road that runs parallel to the 'Horton' road. Drive all the way up through Wimborne St Giles and end up on the Cranbourne road.

Let's see what the weather brings. Right now, the XC forecast is 12 to 14 mph gusting 20 NNE to N.

Holding it a week later has no impact. It's only a Club event, unless David has invited someone.

No invitees as far as I know, We (the committee) had discussed inviting other clubs which Phil C was going to do as I am in Germany for the JWM and won't be home until Friday Sept 4th. I'll leave decisions about moving the date to the committee. As I won't have a turbine for my Boomerang (see the Wren topic) it makes little difference to me.

The weather here in Germany is perfect, not a breath of wind and around 30 degrees during the day. Maybe they should hold the Nats here.
Regards, David
