Spectrum DX6 Fault was created by FlyBuster18
Hi Guy's Please can a club knowledgable member help me sort out my Spectrum DX6 radio as it will not work as a wired controller to the club slave TX, although it has always been ok in the past. Also when I tried to run my iMac simulator it will not work. When John Ireland switched it to Wireless mode it did work to a different club radio, but the controls seemed fierce to me.
I have the full handbook. Perhaps I should re-bind the TX to the RX !! any thoughts anyone?

Can't help other than to suggest that the master transmitter must be switched on and the slave switched off BEFORE the wire is used.
Same with the simulator...DX6 switched off BEFORE using the wire.

One more thought...is the wired output disabled when the DX6 is set to wireless trainer? IOW have you reset the trainer option to wired?

I am slightly confused - The DX6e wireless transmitters that we now use for training DO NOT have a socket
to accept a trainer lead, all training is via the wireless connection.
Can Ernie pls confirm what transmitter he is using.
Thanks
Colin.

Hi I am using a DX6 which has a trainer socket. When used with the club DX6e without the cable for wireless operation it worked ok.

Hi Ernie - When you buddied with the Club's DX6e you would have bound your transmitter to the receiver inside the Club's Master DX6e transmitter.
Pls excuse me for asking but have you rebound your transmitter to your model ?

Regards
Colin.

Your transmitter is broken Ernie - if you want to use the wired connection again then you must get it fixed. You cannot use the wired connection if you know it is faulty or temperamental because you risk losing your model and are breaking the law by ignoring CPA 658: 4.2.1 Article 138 – Endangering safety of any person or property ‘A person must not recklessly or negligently cause or permit an aircraft to endanger any person or property.’

No Colin I have not Re-bound my TX. But surprise my TX works ok direct to my model. To check that it works to the club slave I will have to make a visit to Cashmoor.
Thank you
Ernie
