Club's - Spektrum - DX6e Transmitters was created by 4Pedalsfly
We have 3 of these ( 2 x Mode 2 & 1 x Mode 1 ) all fitted out with
4 AA size NiMH rechargeable batteries.
Surprisingly the Instruction manual does not give any information on safe
minimum transmitter voltage.
I've spoken to John at Logic R.C. ( their Spektrum expert ) who advises that
the factory setting for the low voltage alarm to trigger is 4.3 V.
However, since the NiMH discharge curve gets very steep at lower voltages it is prudent
to stop flying at 4.8 V min & recharge the batteries.
Having looked at several forums the general consensus is to stop flying at 4.8 V,
Trust this is of interest to all Instructors.

Colin.

Good point Colin. As far as I'm aware the Tx batteries haven't been charged up for several months. Perhaps we can take a look at them tomorrow.
