JR DSX11 was created by Phil Ford
Does anyone know if the gimbals were upgraded or a different type used for the DSX11? They have a different feel compared to the DSX9 ((JR9303) I have noticed it at the field and also on my Simulator or is it me?

Stop playing with your "gimbals" and concentrate on the models Phil !
Have you checked the length of your joysticks as this can make all the difference, also check stick tension adjusters!

I don't know for sure Phil, but I wouldn't be surprised if the gimbals are different, the dsx9 was based on the earlier pcm9 which was released years before the dsx11.

Or it could just be you need to play with the stick tension adjusters to get them to feel similar as John says

The reason I asked was because when I upgraded the gimbals on my Taranis to M9 (hall effect) gimbals I did feel a slight change, more precise. The Horus has M12 gimballs (hall effect) and it felt no different. Jumping between the DSX9 and DSX11, I feel a difference to the favour of the DSX11. Stick heights are same although the sticks are further apart on the DSX11 than the DSX9. In saying that, the Horus sticks are further apart than the Taranis but did not cause any issues for me.

As Jon said the DSX9 was a derivative from the PCM9 and with the introduction of the DSX11 and Zero series they may have put better quality gimballs in. I will make some adjustments with the stick tensions and try it out again some time in the future when the weather plays ball.

Not sure it does your Mode 4 1/2 anyway. Nice try though!
