Simon - I had a similar problem with the same motor about 10 years ago
& finished up sending it back to Ripmax who fixed it for me.
I cannot recall what they charged but I do not know who else services O.S engines.
What does the seller have to say ?
Hope you get it sorted.
Regards
Colin

Colin, I bought it some months ago and now needing the model finished off the build and tried to fire it up. Don't think the seller will be too interested now. I will take your advice ano get in touch with Ripmax.

May I suggest "Just Engines" they are based at Shaftesbury and very knowledgeable plus repair and carry spares for OS, ASP and NGH and others. Give them a ring to either sort it for you or supply parts for the job.

Don't send it off yet Simon, it is a pumped engine so will drip fuel if not running as the pump will be constantly delivering fuel when ever it is turning over.

You might just need some help getting it running initially before assuming there is a problem with it. Can you bring it to Cashmoor so we can have a try there?
