Planning to do a variation on this scheme for simplicity, yellow on the top, black on the bottom with lettering care of Mike and his vinyl cutter :)

Clean n Simple Jon.... ;) Great news too. Those fonts are Times New Roman I would suggest.

Yellow = Cub yellow? Blue = dark blue (52)?

I'm afraid your reputation as the go to paint colour guy is now in tatters, 0 out of 3 including font ID

Cadmium yellow, black not blue and font is Copperplate Gothic Bold B)

Frustrating problem

Cut the first bit of yellow and it's bl**dy semi transparent!! Purchased online from RC World, just checked the invoice to find they have sent Oralight Opaque, checked their website to find they do the same colour in Oralight and standard Oracover. Not sure if they have made a mistake or I ordered the wrong one, email sent, but it has held me up. :(

I am getting on with the black, but ideally would have wanted to do the yellow first for the overlaps where the black may show through the yellow.

Already done both wings and ailerons, still got the underside of tail and fuz, will then have to get on with rubbing down the cowl as it needs to be resprayed.

That's going to look stunning!

Good thing that the black is underneath though. I've only done one black model (my original Cirrus in 1975) and I swore I'd never do another that 'colour'- not in film anyway. Soaks up sunshine and goes all Slack Alice. So don't fly upside down for too long Jon! Though, for you, that's a rather silly bit of advice since at least half of your aviation is invariably done inverted.

I thought of the black issue, but It was originally black on the bottom and was fine. I think it is only a problem when sitting on the ground in sun for a while, we will see!

Had a good afternoon on it, bottom of the wings and tail done, New black doesn't half show the finger prints!

I don't want to do the fuselage underside yet as it needs the yellow on first, so will have to be patient :(

Now a health and safety message from your safety officer!

When covering, it's important to keep changing the blades in your scalpel as they blunt really quickly cutting the covering. Unfortunately the downside is that if you accidentally knock your scalpel off the bench it will really easily stab you in the top of the foot right through your trainer. :(

3/4 in of blood stain on the blade, bled like a b**tard!!

Sorry to hear you have taken up "self harming"
- Didn't you once let your child "test" the sharpness of a scalpel blade !
