Rebuild of E-flite "diamante 25e was created by 4Pedalsfly
My Diamante had her maiden flight at Cashmoor on 8th September 2015.
Having trimmed her out I had many enjoyable flights then on 18th July 2016
I flew into the sun, lost site of her, she crashed destroying the fuselage back
to the wing trailing edge and also badly damaged the wing centre section.
Come March this year I decided it was time to have a go at a rebuild.
This will not be a quick job so I'll post pictures at significant stages of the rebuild.

Phil - No rush on the Diamante, I have two models awaiting some decent weather for their maidens.
Check your diary against the date on the pic, could well be your MX 2

Pete - Camera at the ready but progress will be somewhat pedestrian compared to your build speed.
Now considering best way to rebuild the fuselage.

Hi Colin, do you have a building jig? Makes it easier to line up the fuselage parts. Low tack masking tape helps as well, stops things wandering about as the glue cures.

Wing centre section tackled first.
Whole damaged section removed, new ribs made, jigged
to ensure new leading edges all lined up.
Finally all resheeted - now onto the Fuselage jigsaw puzzle.
Thanks to Brian for the offer of hi building jig but my approach to the
fuselage is somewhat unconventional.

Looking good Colin. All you need now will be lots of bars of Cadbury's chocolate to get enough matching covering for the wing.

Work now started on the fuselage rebuild, I decided to repair the damaged rear section first and then build
a completely new front end. The two sections to be butt jointed together with reinforcing pieces cut in later.
Here are the pics of the rear section repair.

Nice work Colin. When you see damage like this:

You think game over
It's good to see what can be achieved with a little care.
