Now onto the fuselage front section, this was badly damaged the best option was to make a new set of parts.
Shattered formers and other components were tacked together with cyno to provide templates.
The assembly sequence is shown in the attached pics.
Next stage will be to add motor box, cross sheeting and undercarriage reinforcement.
Four pics here ( max allowed ) last two in next message.

Basic front fuselage section is now complete, motor box added.
Next stage was to join the rear & front sections, after a bit of head scratching I
decided the best option was to use the wing as a jig.
Wing was set at zero incidence and fuselage halves aligned and also set at zero incidence.
Once satisfied all was o.k the joint was glued and left overnight to fully set.

Superb work Colin, most would have binned the model, just goes to show what can be achieved with a bit of balsa bashing.

Sad these days that only a few people will ever feel the satisfaction of resurrecting a bin bag job!

Progress continues at a slow pace, fit between wing and fuselage improved.
Filling and final sanding of fuselage complete and the airframe is now
ready for covering.
The original cowl and canopy were badly damaged in the crash, a "Wanted" ad
was placed on the B.M.F.A. website and a guy came up with both in much better condition than mine.
Amazing what us modelers hang on to.
Last pic shows new canopy & cowl in place.
Colin.
