Hi

Any tips on a quick way to remove solar film from a balsa model.

I am revamping my super air

Any help appreciated

If it's an original super air then it won't be solarfilm - it will be chinafilm and will come off very easily with a little bit of heat from a hot air gun (for model film) or a hair drier or a clothes iron. Cellulose thinners will take of any remaining colur or glue.

Another method you could try is using sticky tape on any remaining patches, before using thinners. Rub it down well onto the areas where film is left, then tear off. It sometimes works well and sometimes doesn't, but worth a try
