Repairing Broken Hinge on Foamee

Repairing Broken Hinge on Foamee was created by 4Pedalsfly
Looking for some advice on how to repair split " Foam " hinge on Hacker HotWing moulded in EPP foam.
I tried applying various tapes ( Selotape, masking, duct, GRP reinforced ) onto the top surface to form a hinge but none would stick, seems like there is some form of barrier on the surface.

Blenderm tape should stick.

Or make a hing by running a thin bead of UHU POR into the gap. Smear it with your finger and build it up in small stages if your gap is big. Dust it with talcum powder when you're done so that it loses its tackiness

R/C Modellers Glue or Canopy Glue work well, as they are water based they clean up easily. I used it to fix the elevons on a foamie Raven wing.

3M Blenderm Surgical Tape. Defacto standard for foamies! Use it on all my foamies, flexible and hangs on to most surfaces and virtually transparent. Shame I forgot to apply some on my EFXRacer ailerons as Dave B will later prove at Ferndown....:lol:

My Extravaganza has had most of the aileron hinge repaired by running UHU POR along the hinge line. It has been subjected to some extreme abuse since and is still ok - it does go yellow over time tthough
