New Model, first adventure into petrol

Hi.

Happy Bunny ...

It looks good and the engine is fab.
Got a bit of fettling to do as not quite ready to fly, got some dangly bits a nd a box of wires the need connecting to something.
Bit of time needed to get to understand thing, so i think I will be asking loads of questions !!

Good buy Simon. Go through Franks electrical wiring though, he had different ideas to almost everyone else. I found that out on his Mustang 40 I grabbed a while ago. :lol:

No its not, this is for the new composite models that X-Tech now make

Very unlikely that you will find any, but it should go together like any other model you have

The model is built, its the setting up of the ailerons, rudder and elevator i was thinking of.

Its the engine fuel system, electrics, radio and battery set up that's missing !!!

Has anyone got a rough plan of how the system of a petrol model should be, what i need to get etc

These are the starting points I use, I am sure others have their own preference but I have found this gives you a safe starting point

Ailerons - 16 - 18 degrees
Elevator 10 - 12 degrees
Rudder 20 degrees
C of G just forward of the center of the wing tube

Engine set up

Make sure you use tygon fuel tube, I use a three line set up, one to fill the tank, one to the engine and one vent line, you will then need a kill switch and a way off operating the choke, a simple push rod that you can reach through the cowl should do
