Does the missus know you have got a £1000 + engine or did you sneak it in? :P

I always say £49.99. Somehow sound more plausible.

Simon told us that he:

Thanks Simon, what a good idea, I’ll try and remember that and let you know if it works here.

It will also be worth a try when admitting to Anne how much I’m spending on her Christmas present, sounds really generous!

When work finally stop giving us training webex conferences that last the whole day, I hope to make a start on the Sea Fury. Engine acquired, replacement servos acquired....just time needed!

My warbird collection now includes this VQ Yak-9. Very similar to the litle MiG3 I used to fly a few years ago - in fact most of the servos and the retracts were source from the old model. It only cost £100 nib delivered from the BMFA website and I have stuck my reliable old Saito .82 in it for the sound more than anything (electric warbirds make sense but don't do it for me). This one can join the club formation flight as it is the right size and speed (and low value).

It has been a year since picking this one up... slowly getting there, very slowly....
Increased the cooling outlets, opened up the scale (ish) ones and installed the baffle.
Also located a suitably scale spinner from Bigplanes nl (thanks Chris)
