Electric pump was created by flyingpete
Never had an electric fuel pump and don't fancy pumping 3ltrs of kero every flight into my panther with my H9 hand pump.
Looking for a simple pump which will fill and drain powered with a Lipo to use with my 25ltr Jerry can ?

Pete

The Kavan pump seems pretty decent, I have one in my fuel caddy, runs forever on a 3 cell 2200 lipo, just needs forward and reverse switches. They can leak after a while but you can buy replacement gasket sets. I think Dave Wilshire at Motors and Rotors stocks them. Otherwise there are other fuel caddy options out there but they can get quite expensive.

£4 1/2 smakeroonees, takes a while but gets there in the end. Gives me time to pump up the air bottles and do other checks while its filling!

i have never managed to make a (glow fuel) pump last for very long so my money would be on the hobbyking one.

Could you use positive air pressure in the fuel bottle to drive the fuel into the tank. Likewise pressurise the fuel tank to empty it. (this would also highlight any leaks in the clunk to tank bulkhead tubing.)

Air pressure from standard tyre inflator.

It's just a simple geared pump with a brushed cheap dc motor. I guess it will last as long as the brushes. I have 4 in-line fuel filters of varying mesh which probably slows it down a bit - then again it isn't powerful enough to blow off any connectors.
