Simon's Avonds F15

Some of you may have seen on the Classic Jets thread that Simon Dean has now joined the jet jockies! Due to a recent acquisition of my own, my F15 was looking for a new home as was the Wren 160 out of my Hawk. Simon had been 'umming and arrring' about a jet turbine model for some time, so with little persuasion, a deal was done!

The F15 was a bit of a shell so I set about the installation of new bifurcated tailpipe, new taileron servos, all radio and turbine equipment, fuel tanks, UAT, new batteries and the all important Avonds decal set!

After a couple of three weeks the model was ready to handover (although the weather hadn't been playing ball for this) so the handover was done Saturday before Christmas. Mr Dean became acquainted with the model and the hope was to maiden it at 'Classic Jets' in Abingdon after Christmas.

wow, you must have been desperate for the money!!! It takes you about 2 years to put your own models together

Here's hoping to see this in formation with Dave Rogers' F15 in the new year.
