I saw a photo of some jets (not the Blue Angels) in tight formation and thought it was photo-shopped. But looking at this video I guess it might have been real. To be honest, I'm surprised they are allowed to fly that close...the risk assessment form would be a nightmare to complete.

Looks too close to be real. Surely there would be massive amount of turbulence that close ?

Definately real, look at the photo below, amazing flying! There are quite a few vids on youtube if you do a search.
