Well the phazer arrived today, it looks cool but a flight will tell true story, but as long as there like the old sabres and migs I think we will have fun, hoping quicker than the sabres to be fair!

It wasn't PNF as all the sections need gluing, however the only piece that was glued ( the fan belly cover) needed cutting off to fit servo leads under.

All in all it feels solid and made from the stronger foam type like our zagis. The hatch is magnetic with plenty of room under for fitting everything in.

There are tonnes of stickers to fit which will completely cover the thing but it comes as a blank canvas if you wanna do ur own scheme.

Looking forward to flying it this weekend hopefully and test it fully for fun ability! Then hopefully a few of you may want one so we Han have fun like we use to with the old sabres.

Sorry about upside down photos!

Mine arrived today :)

Looks ok - but I'm not sure about the fan - there isn't an equal gap between the blades and the shroud

The stickers are predictably nasty so it looks like a paint job is required :)

You finished yours yet Dave?

Almost done! I quite like the stickers that go on top! Very futuristic and probably protect the foam as they are thick vinyl!
Don't like the underneath stickers though so may just cover it in black vinyl to protect when skidding on landing! Will u have yours ready for saturday Alan?
Simon I hope your getting one if performance proves worthy enough!

That looks OK Dave, didn't think the vinyl would stick. Don't know whether I'll be able to make Saturday yet.

There's a thread on RCgropes where they seem to think that the PNP motor is good for a 4s setup ( possibly not the ESC tho')

RCgropes sounds like a very dodgy website Alan, don't let the wife find you on there! !

Sorry to revert the topic back to several posts ago, but I maidened my HK T45 this evening and I had to tell someone who might be interested ;-)

It went far better than I hoped - I'm flying on the stock 3S setup with the PNP ESC so I was expecting it to be underpowered but I managed 4 underarm launches with only one slightly tense moment due to throttle being on the low side. Landing was uneventful too once I'd got the hang of slowing her down. She does float well.

Babying the throttle gave me a good 4-5 mins on 2200mah, so again, better than I expected.

I've done a few mods - rudder & flapperons being the main ones. Both seem quite effective.

All in all, a very successful evening - much more entertaining than my beat up Riot. Can't stop grinning! If anyone out there is after a 1st edf, go for it - they're great fun.
