KS Tuned Pipe: Willie Warmer was created by JRI
[This K&S tuned pipe from probuild will be inside my Mig.3 fuselage to keep the model's clean scale lines, boost midrange power, and give good silencing. With a 55cc 3W motor up front I wanted to make sure that as little of the potential heat as possible escapes the skin of the pipe so (with a little help from a friend) I sewed up this Nomex sock to surround the pipe ! Almost no weight and fireproof.



If you watch it long enough it moves ...

Hi Colin, search for "8oz* - NOMEX - FIRE RETARDANT - FABRIC MATERIAL CLOTH " in ebay.
Please note it is fire retardent and not fully flameproof. I also use proper aluminium foil "Exhaust Turbo Heat Shield Wrap Mat 1m x 1m - Aluminium Foil Backed Glass Fibre" for the hotter exhaust manifold - this may be a better bet. PS this website prevents posting of ebay links so you will need to do searches for the items.
