Although this relates to my Stearman build, the detail is relevant to anybody installing Saito multi cylinder ignitions and i think the number in the club is growing.
Its one thing to install a single or twin ignition in an ARTF designed for petrol but installing on a scale aircraft adds an extra level of difficulty and a triple ignition even more.
In order to minimise twisting and straining of the leads, its better to fit the leads, then find where the unit will fit comfortably. In a scale model, this will invariably be difficult to access.
So on the Stearman i'm mounting the unit, battery and Opto isolator on a cradle which is easy to locate with sliding pins.
