This is a bit off topic but does qualify as a fairly amazing winter building project!

The eleventh Impressivo finally does it's stuff

After dragging my heels over re-fitting the elevons with Robart hinges in an effort to avoid tragedy striking, it finally reached the sky yesterday morning. My poor set-up resulted in a very twitchy first flight which i was wise enough to delegate to Jon, he worked his magic on the necessary adjustments and things went fine on the second flight.
My only contribution to the event was to properly tighten the propellor after it flew all on it's own during the first attempt and to carry out tolerable hand launching.

Thanks Jon!

You're not the eleventh, David. I think the following list is correct.

Mike Seale - flown and still flying
Jon Tappin - flown/crashed/repaired
Chris73 - not flown
Kevin Ross - flown and still flying
David Tappin - flown and still flying
Simon Dean - flown/crashed/repaired
Stuart McKechnie - launched/crashed
Dave Bright - flown/crashed
Phil Coup - flown and still flying
Steve Morris - not flown
Dave Rogers - flown and still flying

Let's hope we can get some decent weather to coincide with all of us being at Cashmoor. So far, the most we've had airborne is 3.

Mike
