I think I know the answer but I will ask if anyone has an idea. I have a 7 ch Orange receiver/gyro to put in a model that has 2 elevator servos. On Futaba, ch8 is the 2nd elevator channel. I don't have an 8th and I cannot fathom how you drive 2 servos. Tried a 'Y' lead, just means elevators go in different directions. I guess I will have to have a separate gyro unit running through a Futaba 8ch receiver. Maybe you have a better solution, I hope so!

Simon - Couple of ideas for you, using existing elevator set up & "Y" lead.
1 - Change linkages / horn position on 1 servo so they move in the same direction.
2 - Fit electronic servo reverser to 1 servo.
Trust this helps.

Too late now Simon, but all you do with Futaba is make servo 5 (or any other spare channel you choose) a slave of servo 2 (programmed in the Tx) and it will happily track (or reverse) every elevator movement. I will show you or PM you the exact setup if you tell me which Tx model you have (it has been an available feature since the very first digital Tx futaba made), and every model I have has dual elevato servos.

John, I would be very grateful to have the knowledge of how to do it. I have a t8j transmitter. The channels available are 5 & 7. The gyro is switched on 5 as per the receivers instructions.
Many thanks

Programmable mix (page.65) - To setup channel 7 (AU1) to track channel 2 (ELE):
P.MIX-5
Master = ELE
SLAVE = AU1
TRIM = N/A
SWITCH = NULL
RATE = 100%
OFFSET = 0

if this works Ok you can use reverse, sub-trim, end-point functions, etc on AU1 (channel 7) to make sure evelator 2 accurately tracks elevator 1 as you desire. I don't know your transmitter but you may also need to set the TRIM value to track your elevator trim control too.
PS. Check VERY carefully that NO other control or switch has any affect on channel 7 other than the Elevator control and trim.!

Simon I think the way to go is with the Y lead if you try to do a mix when you switch the gyro on you will have one elevator controlled by the gyro and the other controlled by the transmitter which may be interesting. but not what you intend..
Also there is a known problem with the latest futaba software and non futabu rx's causing loss of signal when flying with other futabu users. Futabu answer is buy futabu.

Hi John RI
Thank you for working out what I needed to do, works a treat and even better, no other switches or other controls affecting the elevator on 7 which is great. I have set up the gyro which is a really basic 3 axis unit. Only problem is I cannot seem to get the giro to work the ch 7 elevator servo. The control surface is unaffected whereas the elevator servo on ch2 reacts fine. I will keep studying the instructions!
