Quite right Chris, turned the expo down to 40 '/, on all my models and have to say they feel much better to fly. The Sea Fury had its 1st outing with the gyro in. Tim Sulley took it up for me, still twitchy as hell until he switched the gyro on. What a revelation!! It fllys just great now. I took the controls on the 2nd flight and I felt totally in control all the time. Take offs and landings were great as well. Good old Hobbyking, the Orange s-fhss basic gyro and receiver combined for just £14.50 delivered. Now the model isn't so scary!

Hi Simon, when you use high expo values, typically over 40%, what happens is you will get a sudden increase in surface deflection at mid stick position, almost like a step change, which makes it difficult to control.

I always recommend limiting expo to a max of 35-40% unless you are using 3d throws. If the model is still too twitchy even at those values then you need to decrease the overall throw.

Most of my models are flying with zero expo.
