Spectrum DX6i scroll wheel weakness

When i joined the club i had to choose what make of transmitter to buy and i chose Spectrum, so i bought a used Spectrum DX6i with a back light up grade, but like any thing you buy second hand Gremlins can appear and so they did.
First Gremlin, micro switch under menu scroll bar failed, more research, got a used micro switch on circuit board, problem solved.
I was at Cashmoor last Monday evening got a few flights in then decided to change planes, scrolled down on the transmitter, pressed scroll wheel to enter yes, you got it second Gremlin appeared, plastic pin snapped, transmitter useless, so it was game over, home for a glass of wine or two.The plastic roll bar i have learnt is a waste of time, i fitted a rubber scroll wheel with metal pin, lets hope there is not a third Gremlin.
