I can understand your need for warnings on lowest cell (been watching Painless I think ;) ) especially with the EDF Avanti but as you have found out it takes a bit of tweaking. The reason I kept to warning on main pack voltage so I would not run out of electrons and also to be a bit conservative on throttle ( I have a tendency to want to go flat out most of the time like Dave B  ) If you battery widget is on one of your screen pages after before and after flight it will show the cell voltages anyway.

Setting up rates/expo and most other stuff I mainly use the Companion to save all the scrolling and clicking on the TX's switches. It's my preference anyway. Although Telemetry twiddling has to be done on the TX.

Images are for my Beast which I do give some stick. Main screen and battery widget screen (no;2). I have a third screen which monitors the switches and surfaces. The battery widget shows live volts and lowest volts over flight. This may be just all you need. The screen says the same values because I have not flown the pack yet, it was brought down to storage mode previously.

Quote"I have had enough exposure to both FrOS and FrOS style operating systems to start looking at advantages and disadvantages, whether people are at all interested is perhaps a different matter." Sorry I did not know you had played with it previously....

I assume you have SD logs as ON? Great for reviewing what has been going on.

At the end of the day I don't want you going back to Futaba so stick with it.

I've not looked at anything to do with logging yet that's a whole new chapter.
It's going to take a bit of trial and error to settle on a screen layout - too many choices ;) I need to be more careful about which background image to use, it's probably best left as default. I'm quite getting used to green and purple though I may keep it

I'll still be using the Futaba for quite a while, certainly until I get some confidence with the Horus; which hopefuly will start soon.

At the end of a session playing with voice callouts the missus suggested that headphones might be a good idea. Actually what she said was: "Will you shut that 'kin noise up". I thought something like these guys: Amazon although I'd like to find something cheaper ;) What do other people use?

Ha Ha! Have you placed the volume on a knob (eg; S2) and made it a global effect. I turn it down when I am a quiet area especially when she says "time has elapsed" repeatedly and I carry on regardless. Take a look Valkyrie file and view the setting for the above. If you are still stuck post up here. I would not use head[phones up the field - you might not hear the call "duck"

Yes I have adjustable volume, bizarrely it doesn't affect the start up sound, I've had to turn that down in OpenTX- very strange. I thought a single sided earpiece would be the right thing for that reason. I'd be interested to know if anyone else uses them. I don't want to spend all that money and end up with something unsuitable.

Have you not got an earpiece from the old mobile phone days or Sony Walkman or MP3 player? Headsets have gone into short supply as well. I blame the "Gamers" mostly.;)
As long as you keep backing up Models and Radio to Companion before twiddling with something you should be fine. I found it an excellent way to gain knowledge on what does what or not. If I then lost myself, rewrite settings back to radio.

What was that? The postage or did you put the decimal point in the wrong place like I did on my new tech stuff to avoid a smack round ear :)

I did think the link might have been a bit obscure -
> Amazon <

The £0.01 discount was the clincher. :)

 I hope it was not one of the AmazonBasics range - they really are cheap crap. Maybe it was just the clip you bought?
