Saturday 1 st March 2025. Breezy from the East but down the runway. Full Sun, nearing double figures degrees. Recently purchased from another WMAC member Phil F, Matt's new acquistion a PC21 being test flown by Jon T our popular test pilot. When Phil F bought this this it was half the price it is now (£699 GBP) Factor in a Motor, ESC plus two decent size lipos we are pushing near a £1000 GBP model! Due to the weak original nose leg the PC21 has been modified with a Eflite nose retract and standard wire leg.
The original jet type oleo was weakly sprung and on power for take off the down thrust would pull the nose down and the prop would clip the grass. This also meant having to pull back on the elevator to compensate. Other than that it flies great and stable. Shame no flaps though. Matt loves it..........
