I read up details on the EF Extra. Recommend an Xpwr 40cc Electric Motor on 10 cells with 22 inch Beech e-prop. Hacker would be A60 series. These motors use 8mm shafts - not sure about adaptor sizes though.
This afternoon before darkness fell, been trying to get the thing balanced (155mm back from leading edge or 20mm back from wing tube). I can get some slight nose down with those 2 x 6 cell packs when the batteries are just forward of the wing tube. Allowing for a 200 gram Lipo receiver pack behind the wing tube it "should" be about right.
In case Jon's props are not for 10mm shafts I have located an Xoar Beech - E 21 x 10 at Probuild , so going to try that initially in conjunction with my clamp meter. Flying weight according to my wife's digital scales is 6.5kg
Could be a maiden soon.........
