That's a nice feature, very scale. I think it's called pocket hinging.

No idea!!! The early wild hare used this set up, but didn't have the brass insert on the wood so obviously it would wear out quickly!!
Just need to find a way to stop the carbon tube coming out and still have it removable for servicing!
