Thanks, Colin. Bad batch or not, it's a shame that such an insignificant item can have such an impact. Six flights today with 19 year old springs that I'm sure will keep going for another 19 years.

Might sound silly,but as the throttle spring is disabled by a screw, could you use the spring to replace the broken one.

Thank you for the offer of springs but these would also be frsky springs that I will not trust. The multiplex springs will keep going forever...famous last words!

re your discussion on Sunday about sourcing springs. RS seem to have a reasonable selection. If there is something suitable I think you can create a cash account with them to create a purchase order. The nearest store used to be in Hedge End
