I fly mine behind the Blandford Tesco store.

I also use an old brushed motor controller (2amp rated) to control the LED brilliance.

The strips are normally configured in groups of 3 LEDs in series with a series resistor for each group. Hence they can be connected to a 12v power source without any current limiting resistors.
