That's a really good report. There are several interesting points. Firstly, my lovely Blue Angel possibly wasn't the best model there. Seems like Hanno should have won if his dad had called the landing correctly! I wonder if he would have developed the Curare had he won with the Super Sicroly?
Secondly, when I started flying (1980) I remember reading articles about swing-wing models and they were never successful. I'm amazed that it was tried (with some success) as early as 1973.
Lastly, I'm amazed that there is only one Futaba radio being used. When I started, everyone used Futaba...unless you were rich and flew Skyleader or wanted to risk using Fleet. Was Futaba a new(ish) company in 1973?
