Excellent news of another convert and it will be interesting to see something a bit different in the air at Cashmoor and also maybe at Classic Jets, the next meeting at Abingdon will be on April 10th.

Yeah getting pretty excited. Not collecting it for a couple of weeks, but will be up to cashmoor with it as soon as, hopefully with some help setting it up I will be able to get her airborne. Classic jets sounds good, just depends on work really, oh and the weather lol.

If so and you need info about the construction I believe one of our members has one under construction

Yeah that's the one Ziroli Turbinator. Seller sent me a video last night starting and running the turbine. All seems ok and sounds nice. Got 2 hours on the clock Jetcat p80 V2.

I think you've got a bargain there with that little time on the turbine!

My Jetcat P80 has > 50 hours on the clock and still going strong. If its a kerostart conversion you have, you may occassionaly need to de-crud the ceramic glow plug in kerosene in an ultrasound cleaner (you a welcome to use mine). This gives you a very reliable startup - so long as you have a good (high 'C' rating) battery pack of around 3000mA.

Ok thanks, I'm new to gas turbines so I will take that onboard. It comes with the batteries so hopefully they will be adequate.

Hi Jon. Got the Turbinator home and have been reading up on settings and procedures. Got a question tho, the previous owner ran the turbine on Jet A1 fuel, should I continue to use that and where can I get it.
Thanks John

Most of us run kerosene, you'll be fine with that. I get mine from

Red Eagle Fuels, 5 Willis Way, Poole BH15 3SS

You'll just need to order some turbine oil, you can get it from Motors and Rotors and other places
