Got rained. Off in the garden :woohoo: so fitted the nose gear doors

My new turbine for the hunter arrived this morning from Wren.
Lovely bit of kit compared to my pst 80 ,no external fuel regulators just 1 fuel pipe and one cable going to the ecu and internal fuel igniter.
Also another interesting new feature is you programe the turbine to the TX and not the ecu so if you want to use the turbine in other models setting up is a breeze.

Not a lot of bits then Pete? Keeping it simple. Which one is it you got, the 80 or 100?

Another step closer to a Hunter maiden.

Great news that Wren finally kept their (umpteenth) promise. Did you get as far as demanding your money back?

The turbine is mounted well back in the Hunter, will it need any nose weigh?

It's the 100 DX Phil!!!As for nose weight David, I have added an extra 1ltr fuel tank forward of the c of g which will stay full of fuel as it feeds off the main 3.2 ltr tank to aid the c of g. Had a long long chat with Wren on Wednesday and I now fully understand why it has taken longer than the original 3/4 weeks delivery.When I next see you I will explain ,but I don't want to comment on the forum.
All I will say is Wren power products are here to stay

Pete's installation in the Hunter looks the business, I can't wait to see that in the air. Will it be on show at CJ next Friday Pete?

During construction I glued a 1/4 ply plate over the c of g position on the top keel so I could screw a hook in to pick it and check balance and then plug the hole with a dummy strobe beacon.
With the gear down it needs 900g of lead and gear up it changes to 700g.I will go with the gear up position as that will be the normal flying attitude.As I have put the main 3.2 ltr tank bang on the c of g no change was measured if full or empty.
