Minus Thermic

Not in the same league as Pete's builds but thought I would share my progress so far on my mini sloper

Couple of hours this evening with a laser cut kit, a pot of CA and some sandpaper, and hey presto the fuselage is done

Nice work, Chris. I'm going to have to pull my finger out to catch up.

Chris I'm surprised you didn't construct a jig , I'm sure Chris ( grommet ) will put you to shame.

No jigs being used here, the general process on this build is

1) Glue it first
2) Look at plans
3) **** thats not quite in the right place
4) Attack it with sandpaper until it looks right

So far it has been no more difficult than line the parts up and glue them, sanding the wings to the correct shape could be a bit of a challenge but I will figure that one out when i get there (Or wait for Chris to build a jig and then steal it :lol: )

Don't be concerned Boys. Gromit has produced a virtual jig in 3D CAD as we speak. If this is within 5 nano meters of the original concept then the jig will be produced on a new laser cutter purchased just for this job. The same laser cutter will then be used to cut out the required pieces to make an exact copy of the one Chris H is sticking together. It should not take long with today's technology......... :lol:

Like your style Chris that's the way I tackle builds!!! don't have time to build jigs :woohoo:
