Phil - Great hand launching technique , she's welcome to launch my gliders at Cashmoor.
No name's mentioned but can only be an improvement over some launches - nose high , tip stall but enough power
to get away with it.

Starboard wing, nearly ready to cover. I decided to leave it as designed, so no extra spars, Mike.

I will complete the location tubes with laminating epoxy after the wings have been offered up to the fuselage.
You can just make out the built in washout at the tip.

The set up used in the videoed model above was an E-Flite E46 on 4S
I see Turnigy do a G46 which is similar, on the face of it.
The airframe will weigh 1553 gm or say 3-1/2 lb. That's including all completed parts, all wood and wire for the fus, the 5" spoked wheels, a bag of nylon two coats of dope and two JR591 servos.
The motor weighs 303 gm (0.67 lb), a Turnigy Nanotech 4s 2200 battery 239 gm (0.53 lb), a 60 A ESC say 1/2 lb
Add 1/2 lb for wires etc. Grand total weight should be 5.7 lb plus prop and driver.
Model is 51-1/2 in w/s and has a wing area of 564 in sq
Motor spec is here.

Am I on the right lines?
