Well, I put an exorbitant amount of cash into my servos compared to Mike, and he's put even more into his retracts, he will only feel the benefit in taking off and landing, I'll feel the benefit in the air ;-) but will no doubt get a little anxious when near terra firma, but that's normal for me anyway!

If we both made wise choices we could have had the retracts and all servos for less than £25

Looks a bit "breezy" for weekend.

Stop being such a big girl, its only 12mph and pretty much straight down the patch!!!

With temperatures of 6 degrees or less that is pretty cold when your wearing a skirt and no tights. XC forecasts 16 mph so you must have picked a more favourable forecast.;)

16mph is half the forcasted figure that I flew in last weekend. Up and down the field is the main feature to look for, not the speed.

Just a suggestion for you, Phil. If you're going to wear a skirt then tights are a must at this time of year

Just for nostalgia - Do you understand German? Matts stuff is now in a museum! I like the biplane. I suppose the modern version would be the Miss Wind?

The Biplane is his Citrin probably from around 2010 or 11, still flying competitively now so more modern than the Miss Wind

I think the first f3a biplane was around early 90's

I'll rightly be accused getting off the subject but this topic has illustrated an encouraging resurgence of interest in woodwork and I couldn't resist sticking in this illustration of fine craftsmanship in wood and dedication to a challenging subject so there is a little synergy here:

There must be an easier way to loose your marbles!
