Hi Simon

The Rcexl remote ignition switch is good and not too expensive (link below). Some people use just a mechanical switch, but to me they are worth the extra as you can kill the engine in flight if necessary, which is a good safety feature and could save the model.

C of G should be between 25 and 30% of average wing chord. As Chris says this will be typically on or just in front of the tube.

Other than the tank plumbing, everything else is like any model, make sure you have sufficient battery capacity and that all linkages are of adequate strength etc

Cool Thanks.

What about the batteries, do i need one for ignition, two seperate batteries for reciever and servo's with somekind of power safe and regulator .

With the model came some bits and bobs all seems too complicated with two on off switches for two battery packs a couple of becs and a linear voltage reglator (Bec)

I have a 12 chanel futaba rx that is telemetry capable this will hopefully work if i have a reliable power sorce for the system ?

Ive advised Simon that the servos are not high voltage Li-po capable so have recommended he uses LiFe batteries for the radio to avoid needing regulators. - Simple is best.

I don't know if the Roto ignition unit will take Lipo voltage.

Ignition is 4.8-6.0V. Maybe LiFe, but not LiPo without regulator.

Stuart beat me to it.

From the manual:
Roto ignition - Supply Voltage: 4-9V
Input current: 50mA – 500mA
Advance range goes up to 30 degrees advance

So Life 6.6v (2 cell) should be OK, Simon.
