Hobbykings finest clear red (which looks more like purple on the roll !!!) and solid silver, not looking forward to that part, I hate covering because I never do a very good job of it :(

I am planning on transparent Red or Orange, or a mixture of both. I have some transparent Modena too, but I may need to play with the iron temps on that as I struggled to get a good finish with it on the Minus.

Red with solid silver should look striking. Covering is fun, but it just seems to take me ages.

Chris - Just a thought, do you need vent holes in the brass tubes to prevent an airlock, this could stop the steel joiner engaging with the magnet. Other option is to file a small flat along the length of the joiner.
