I shall be taking my airbrake with me to halfords tomorrow evening to try and find an automotive match

.

If you can go to Rainbow paints on the Ferndown ind est, they will help you get a much better match! B)

Thanks for the heads up Chris however I did get a decent match in halfords.... Fiat Orange Red! I 'masked' the area off with muslin cloth to give a soft edge. I'm very pleased with the blended result.

Dave - Additional info on Rainbow paints , if you know the colour ref either B.S. or D.I.N number they can mix it using a cleaver computer programme.
A friend of mine painted his classic motorbike using Rainbow spray cans which gave a better finish than std motor spray cans.

p.s - Farmer was cutting the crop today.

Got some more time on the Hawk today....
Pretty much finished the nose gear doors, reinstalled the airbrake and made up an equipment tray plus hard points so the tray is bolted in but removable.
The little door for the nose gear took some thought....decided to go with springs to close the door and the leg itself to push it open.

Next time, it'll be more head scratching to start fixing all the various gear in! Also need to now bolt the turbine to a bench and get it running a couple of times...
